Home decorating quite often has two sides - many times home decorating has a fun, invigorating, and creative side. Other times, hopefully not as many, decorating can be frustrating and time consuming. We are here to help you enjoy decorating your home, apartment, dorm room, or whatever space you seek to redo. What we are not here for is to delve into renovating, tearing down walls, restructuring foundations, remodeling homes.
This site will share decorating tips, styles, colors, trends, and accessories. We will seek to keep you up-to-date on the most recent home decorating trends from season to season, and year to year.
Whether decorating a space for the first time, for instance as a newlywed or for your first apartment or house, or whether you are on your upteenth redo, sometimes the task can seem a bit intimidating. We hope to ease your mind, and at the same time, open your mind to the possibilities before you.
Start with a blank canvass
When you enter a house, apartment, or room, you are looking at a blank canvass. While some canvasses may need tweaked or redone, others are fresh to your eyes and open for your interpretation.
To make home decorating less intimidating, you need to have an idea of what you want to do to the space. Finding out your personality, taste and style, developing a plan, creating a to do list, and working within your budget are important.
Also, keeping in mind what your ultimate goal for the space is and how your project will hopefully look when it is finished are all part of the fun and the challenge of decorating.
